A live recording of part of a benefit concert held on December 4, 2004 in the Sports Hall in Ostrava – Poruba. In the course of this exciting five-hour musical marathon, “Hi, Ostrava!”, appearances were made by practically all the stars of the Czech musical scene whose roots lie in the Ostrava region:
The entire evening was accompanied with the commentary and the songs of Jaromír Nohavica. All profits from the concert were dedicated to the training of guide dogs for the blind.

This recording, part of the television serial of the same name in which Věra Martinová presents the leading personalities of Czech folk and country music, was made on December 17, 1997 in Prague’s Lucerna Music Bar including a concert by Jaromír Nohavica and his band. Nohavica’s performance was the impulse towards the creation of this television series, as well as the live CD entitled Koncert.

Roughly one year after the death of the singer-songwriter Karel Kryl, in April 1995, a unique concert was held in the courtyard of Helfštýn Castle, literally one of a kind – on that evening, Jaromír Nohavica for the first time  exclusively sang songs written by Kryl (a similar project was repeated only once, commemorating the tenth anniversary of Karel Kryl’s death and held in the Ostrava club “Parník” [Steamboat] as a live radio broadcast).

Divadélko pod věží /Theatre under the Tower

In the early 1980s, moderator Marie Rottrová introduced a range of interesting guests in her entertainment program “Divadélko pod věží”. One of them was Jaromír Nohavica, barely a year after his first public performance. Nohavica appeared twice on the show, for the first time in 1983.
